Personality:
Alex Millar is many things, a ghost, a tomboy, and snarky as all get out. She's brave and stubborn, determined to help those who need her, which more than likely stems from helping to raise her brothers when her mother walked out on them. She seems to have a deeper affection and understanding of those she can relate to, boys.

She is a fiercely loyal friend, sometimes to a fault, especially when she's trying to save people who she loves and cares for. And especially when it comes to Hal. Hal continuously makes mistakes and she gives him chance after chance, starting with when she was human and he was just socially awkward while trying to date her. And ending with him reverting his blood craving, evil crazy vampire ways, and she doesn't stake him like she promised several times to do. She is, in the simplest terms, hopeful. She tries to see the good in people and help them on their road to redemption, although sometimes that road can be bumpy, and she can make false assumptions, which usually leads her to giving someone more chances than they probably deserve. Because of her nurturing nature, she sympathizes and wants to protect Tom, who is sheltered and despite his hard life, rather naive when it comes to the evils of the world or the true nature of people.

At first, she is a pretty bitter about her life being ended so unnecessarily, she longs to be alive, to be able to change her clothes, to have sex, or to eat, she attempts to do the latter once or twice and fails, much to her frustration. As with many ghosts, Alex fears of being forgotten or irrelevant. And while she's mostly accepted her ghostly fate, she fears that she will start to go crazy if she's a ghost too long, if she's left alone, like another ghost she runs into, Lady Mary, who has been dead for over two hundred years and is completely bonkers.

But despite the fact she's been stuck in a cute dress since she died, she's definitely a tomboy, and often complains about how she's stuck in a dress and a 'sexy bra' instead of something she'd be more comfortable wearing. She identifies more with men because she's always surrounded by them. Her mother left her family and she was left to help raise her little brothers as well as take care of her father. Her lack of a feminine influence in her life makes it hard for her to relate to other women, especially in terms of femininity, like discussing what some may see as a woman's typical topics conversation: fashion and makeup. But does not mean that she is not in touch with her femininity, she very much embraces her sexuality, speaking often of how she misses 'shagging' and she can be flirty when she feels into it. The reason she is stuck in her dress and a 'sexy bra' is because she went on a date with Hal before she died and wanted to dress up for him.

However, because she can have a hard time relating to women sometimes because she comes off as loud and brash. She has no qualms saying it how it is nor does she hold back when it comes to over-sharing. As a result, she uses her honesty, snark, and spunk to hide her vulnerabilities. Her mischievous side has it's limits, however, she does not use her 'powers' for 'evil' like some other ghosts do. She's been shown to be uncomfortable with the mind reading aspect of being a ghost when it's not absolutely necessary. She uses humor to try to mask when she is afraid or stressed out, she can become a bit chatty as well. She doesn't necessarily ramble on so much as make jokes at 'inappropriate' times, use biting sarcasm. and try to defuse situations with humor, preferring to make light of things than be mature. Although there are times when she is very mature, when it's needed, being the voice of reason for Hal or Tom, a guiding, albeit exasperated hand.

Powers/Abilities:
Alex was a ghost before her current canon point and maybe that's something I'd explore doing again in the future, but for now, she's just a human who has the awesome ability to stuff her face and curse like a sailor.

There's no way in hell I'm keeping these clothes. So... if anyone has spare set of clothes I could borrow, that would be brilliant. Oh, and matches. I need matches. [ go ahead, ask her what she wants the matches for. hint: it's for the clothes.]

Prose Sample:
She's still convinced that this is some scheme hatched up by... Hatch, the devil, whoever the bloody hell he called himself. She'd already yelled up at the sky a few times, telling him that she's not falling for this, that he might as well send her back to where Tom and Hal are.

But there was no answer this time, nothing happened. She just stayed in this place, seemingly human. It must be hell, this place. Paying for the crimes you committed for months, paying some sort of penance. Still, Alex isn't so sure the things she did were that wrong. And maybe that's why she's here.

After being stuck in the same clothes you died in, for months, it's nice to be able to just get out of them. Not that Alex is walking around naked but she's got her leather jacket slung over her arm and socks, her combat boots hanging from their shoe laces by her fingers as she walks. That is, until she finds food. "This is rubbish, all of it," she murmurs to herself as she sits on a crumbled piece of wall, eating one of the several cookies and treats she has in her lap. Just because she doesn't believe any of this is real doesn't mean she's not going to stuff her face while she can.

She wonders where Tom and Hal are, if they woke up in similar situations, if they're wandering around some world that looks as though it's been ripped straight from some rubbish cartoon her brothers used to watch (rubbish cartoons she'd give anything to watch with her little brothers again). Hatch seemed to have learned his lesson about putting them together. They are stronger together than they are apart
